Expanding to 10 new markets and adding 12 new franchise agreements, our mobile franchise continues to defy the odds by remaining a steady, trusted resource for window covering installation and repair in communities across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With more people spending time at home and working on&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/journalnow.com\/winstonsalemmonthly\/features\/now-in-the-past-2020-was-full-of-home-renovation-projects-keeping-designers-and-decorators\/article_9ae00c5a-5d01-11eb-abaf-9f2c22c0ee00.html\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">home renovations, among other DIY projects<\/a>, our home services franchise saw a 47% increase in year-over-year sales in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The increase in sales mirrored an increase in franchise owners, too. We awarded three franchise agreements before March 2020 and another nine from August to December 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Result of Our Hard Work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, Bloomin\u2019 Blinds plans to sign at least 20 new franchise agreements, with each location set to open by the end of 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new agreements include the opening of our niche home services franchises in these pioneer markets:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>St Paul, MN<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tucson, AZ<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ventura County, CA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aurora, CO<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Farmington Hills, MI<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Temecula, CA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pittsburgh, PA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rochester Hills, MI<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wilsonville or Redondo Beach, CA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019ll also be expanding our presence in Texas, with additional locations in Keller-Southlake and Richmond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith over 450 open territories, we\u2019d love to expand into Salt Lake City, Kansas City, Chicago, Boise, Phoenix and Atlanta,\u201d Chief Executive Officer, Kelsey Stuart said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overcoming the Obstacles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With a successful year in the books, we have a lot of wins to look back on. Kelsey credits the success of the franchise to a strong and growing increase in sales amidst the economic effects of the pandemic, in addition to strong communication among franchise owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOne of our biggest wins was incredible communication and strong morale during uncertain and scary times,\u201d Kelsey said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the coronavirus prompted changes across businesses world-wide, Bloomin\u2019 Blinds franchisees sustained the fortitude and desire to provide their communities with window covering installation and repair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among those who fought to remain strong in tough times was new franchise owner, Jeff Ward in Charlotte, North Carolina.
