What Types of Mobile Blind Repairs Do You Offer?

Our mobile blind repair service can handle any type of repair, including those involving:

  • Tilt mechanisms
  • Barrels
  • Broken slats
  • Ladders
  • Lift strings

Tilt Mechanism

Window blind tilt mechanism repairs can come in one of two forms: Wand or Cord tilter. Wand tilters are the stick that you twist to open/close your window blinds and cord tilters are two strings on a flywheel that rotate as you pull down. Tilter repair is our most common blind repair request; it’s fairly quick and pretty affordable.

Barrels

Barrels are rounded drums that are located in the top of the blind. For many years manufacturers used very thin plastic barrels in the blinds. With time and heat, the plastic “cooks” and gets brittle. When it breaks, the strings that hold the blind together are released and it hangs funny from the top. Barrel repair is quick and affordable.

Broken Slats

Slats are the horizontal pieces that a blind is made of. Often an individual slat can get chipped, bitten, warped, or have water damage. We have the ability to order the individual pieces, take out the old ones, and slip in the new ones and leave the blind looking like new. The cost of slat repair will vary on the size and quantity needed.

Ladders

The ladder string is the support for slats in a blind. If a ladder string is to go bad, it is almost always at the top (unless there is a small child and scissors involved). Ladder strings get worn out as the blind continually rotates back and forth. Ladder repair is among the most technical of repairs but we can handle it in our sleep. While we repair the string, we also remove the metal barrel that cut the ladder.

Lift Strings

Being able to move a blind up and down may not seem like a major priority but when the day comes and you realize that one of your strings is broken, your world can fall apart. We can put in new pull strings very quickly and affordably.

Our approach comes down to this: if it can be broken, we can fix it. Our blind repairs are typically fast and straightforward, so you’ll be able to get back to your day in no time.
